The violent scene in Daredevil is successful at showing the danger of Hell's Kitchen, although it's very easy to check how it can turn the viewers off. In episodes 1 and 2, the violence was of service for Matt Murdock's character, with the increasing intensity of new action sequence to feature how Matt loses the battle and be possessed by something scary, is very captivating. Both episodes surpass Agent Carter.
There were a lot of munching sounds in those fights and the delivered choreography are specifically hard-hitting visuals, however, they never got really graphic. Nowhere, in parallel with Rabbit In A Snowstorm violence, which lets a man's bone break by his flesh before he gets his head mash with a bowling ball, and another man killing himself by spearing himself by the eye with a metal fence spike.
Matt and Foggy are also back in action in the said episode, which heavily leans into the legal drama factors of this series as the two men make their way into the courtroom for the first time. This is at the advantage of Elden Henson who is able to bring more power to his performance with material that pushes him outside of his default comic relief. Marco Ramirez wrote the script and gives a better sense of Foggy's weaknesses in this relationship.
When Matt suddenly had second thoughts on Healy. Foggy is discomfited by his partner because he doesn't have Matt's moral superiority. He takes Matt's side because he knows he is the less noble one. His natural charisma radiates and makes him the stronger lawyer I court, as he talks in front of the jury, and it's easy to see why Foggy would give up a place at a famous law firm to continue a new plan with the smart Matt Murdock.
As for Fisk, he is viewed as a scary and authoritative figure, although, the first time the viewers see him is in the early stages of love, caught by this sophisticated, beautiful woman that could save him from his sadness and loneliness. It's a decision that grounds Fisk in his relationship and emotional reality with Vanessa. It becomes a need as the powerful supervillain elements of his character come into play.
