Probably one of the hottest (literally and figuratively) and most awaited non-action movie this summer, Magic Mike XXL has finally revealed their latest poster, and it's not one for the faint of heart. Lead star Channing Tatum goes shirtless and shows off his chiseled physique for the poster.
The first Magic Mike film was a box office success, and fans and movie-goers have been clamoring for a sequel ever since. Finally, Channing Tatum has teamed up again with Steven Sorderbergh for the much anticipated sequel. This time, Sordebergh, who directed the first film, hands over the directorial reins to Greg Jacobs as he opts to be director of photography and film editor. Tatum will stay on board as the lead character of course, and as one of the producers of the film, giving him so much more freedom and leeway when it comes to story development. The Magic Mike movies have basically become Channing Tatum's pet project, from story-pitching, conceptualization, to production. And he seems to be enjoying it.
Just yesterday, netizens the world over were treated to a sneak peek at Magic Mike XXL's latest poster via Tatum's very own Facebook page. The image he posted had the tag line "Back to the grind". Tatum also captioned the picture: "All day. All night #MagicMikeXXL".
The first film was loosely based on Channing Tatum's experience as a former stripper before becoming a professional actor. Though still loosely based on his stripping experience, the sequel this time sees Tatum's character getting out of retirement to attend a strippers' convention with his fellow Kings of Tampa - one last time. But of course things don't always go according to plan.
