The new Microsoft Surface Pro 4 tablet-laptop hybrid is already being anticipated in tech circles a year after the Surface Pro 3 introduced the thinnest and most lightweight tablet-hybrid hybrid in the market.
Rumors about the improved features of Surface Pro4 have started to circulate as the price of Surface Pro 3 has reportedly been slashed with a $300 bundle discount, even as the Microsoft premium hybrid has been getting top ranks from reviewers such as Tech Radar.
Adding fuel to these rumors is the earlier- than-expected quiet release in March of Surface 3, the low-tier and cheaper version of Surface Pro 3.
Talk about Surface Pro 4 indicates the new Microsoft hybrid will improve the best features that made Surface Pro 3 a success.
The new Surface will be larger than the current Surface's 12-inch display. Speculations have the Surface Pro 4 coming out in two variants - a larger screen display at 13-14 inches, and a smaller screen at about 8 inches.
In terms of performance, the new Surface is expected to wield an extremely powerful Intel Core M processor and a better RAM of 16GB which will give gamers better graphics and playing experience than what the current Surface Pro 3 offers on its 4th Generation dual-core Intel chipset.
LTE connections support would also be expected as this feature is expected in all upcoming devices.
Surface Pro 4 will also sport the recently released Windows 10, a step up from the current Surface which runs on Windows 8. The new operating system will visibly improve the Skype and Xbox experience, among other integrated features.
The price range for the Surface Pro 4 is expected to be around $1,000 for its lower variant, compared to its predecessor's $800 low variant cost.
The new Microsoft Surface Pro 4 tablet-laptop is also likely to be designed with magnesium alloy, and like its predecessor would measure 290 mm x 201 mm x 9.1 mm and will weigh 800 grams.
