'Hart of Dixie' Season 5 might be axed. Actress Jaime King revealed her co-star Rachel Bilson wanted to take some time off after giving birth to her first child, indicating the possible fate of the beloved show- cancellation.
Surely many fans really want to see more of Bluebell. However, the latest 'Hart of Dixie' Season 5 reports indicate that the 'Hart of Dixie' Season 5 is not happening. If that is so, there are really things fans should have to accept. Though the CW has yet to be given surety of its renewal for season 5, cast member like Jaime King, who played Lemon in the series, already hinted what could be its final verdict.
In an interview with E! Online, the 35-year-old actress, who is currently expecting her second child with husband Kyle Newman, divulges 'Hart of Dixie' Season 5 because her co-star "wanted to take" some time off after giving birth to her first child, Briar Rose, with fiancé Hayden Christensen, last October.
When asked regarding the 'Hart of Dixie' season 5 cancellation, the actress said, "It's a tricky situation because it really isn't about ratings for us. It's not like a ratings issue it was more of a timing issue. Rachel Bilson got pregnant and wanted to take a maternity leave. Every woman has a right to do that. I think that everything has an impact on the ways things are decided upon. It's very interesting because our fans are so devoted."
But Jaime, who has 18-month-old son James Knight, already misses being on set, and she's open to doing another series.
King also believes that 'Hart of Dixie' season 4 was their "best season yet." The CW president Mark Pedowitz also admitted that show creator Leila did a great job with the last season. As what Pedowitz said, "If it ends, there's a great finale. If it doesn't end, there's a great season finale, but we're not committed one way or the other yet."
