The Final Fantasy XV release still remains a secret, but some lucky players have had the opportunity to experience a demo. Specifically, these would be those who bought the Final Fantasy Type-0 HD which came out around March 17.
The portion of the game they were able to play was that of Episode Duscae, and from there alone, many claim that there were already plenty of things to see and experience. So what more when the full Final Fantasy XV comes out?
One thing that sets this version from the past games would be starting with just the control of the main character, Noctis Lucis Caelum. This will be how it goes for the rest of the gameplay.
However, it might still be possible that the equipment of the other party members could still be changed. Since the fights occur in real-time as opposed to being turn-based, this can provide an advantage such that players no longer have to juggle different characters.
The Duscae region, to which the episode is set in, features a mix of forests, plains, marshes, and some outposts with signs of humanity. The wildlife becomes ideal for hunting, which will give materials to cook when camping at night.
From there, the meals will allow boosting of their respective stats. Consequently, not choosing to hunt will only leave the characters with toast, which is a crude source of nourishment.
What makes Final Fantasy XV noteworthy would be the high quality of the visuals, which comes to play when there is nature amidst. At times, this enhancement can bring the flow of the game down as it pulls on the frame rate.
A reviewer from Gamespot commented that the graphics are "perhaps too ambitious given that the PlayStation 4 was struggling to keep up."
While the Final Fantasy XV release date is still TBA, Square Enix can take this time to iron out some issues found initially during the demo.
