Oasis Reportedly Reforming After Gallagher Brothers’ Feud, Liam Attends Noel’s Gig; Is A Reunion Coming?

By

The "Battle of Britpop" may be finally reviving as English rock band Oasis have been reportedly reforming next year as members Noel and Liam Gallagher have reached a "gentleman's agreement." The report has emerged as the feuding brothers have taken the first steps towards an alleged reunion. Liam Gallagher recently posted a photo of himself on Twitter holding a backstage pass at his brother Noel's High Flying Birds show. Noel in turn, has publically urged his brother to record a solo album.

The band's history is despondent as they acrimoniously split in 2009 with Noel explaining an inability to work with his brother as the cause. "I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer," Noel had said at the time after reports claiming they had a tension that resulted to the cancellation of a headline slot at a Paris festival.

Though the potential reunion is vague, considering Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds is reaching its momentum with a third solo album reportedly written and ready to record, Mirror has told a source close to the brothers saying, "It's early days in terms of the details, but Noel and Liam are back on good terms and ready to give things another go. Nothing is signed but it's what you might call a gentlemen's agreement between them."

The "well-placed source" is also an optimist by continuing, "Ultimately they're family and whatever has gone on before can be sorted out - they're very close beneath all the bluster."

Noel, 47, who will be touring North America next month to promote his latest album, "Chasing Yesterday," said in an interview with Q that if ever the alleged reunion is happening, it will only be "for the money." "If I was ever going to do it, it would only be for the money," Noel said. "This isn't me putting it out there, by the way. Would I do it for charity? No way. We're not that kind of people ...."

Meanwhile, Oasis's "Battle of Britpop" rivals Blur will be releasing their new album "The Magic Whip" on April 27. It will be the band's first studio album since "Think Tank" in 2003.

Noel's band Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds is already gathering momentum, so why is he still going to take a stroll down memory lane? Do you think the brothers will be okay working again after the tension between them last 2009? Are you in hopes to make the duo work again? Will Blur's new album reach the same success as the "Think Tank"? Your thoughts on the comments section!
