A recent survey showed that teens love their iProducts. Of 7,700 teens polled by the investment bank/ asset management firm Piper Jaffray, 40 percent owned an iPhone, and 62 percent planned to buy one.
Sorry, Samsung: only 22 percent said they wanted to buy a Samsung smartphone.
Not only that, the iPad was the tablet of choice for 72 percent of the 44 percent of teens who own a tablet; up from 70 percent in the Spring.
The results were published in an article by Fortune yesterday.
Other interesting findings: 43 percent of teens who plan to buy a tablet said they would be more likely to if Apple released a smaller iPad for $299.
The number of iPhone owners was up from 34 percent in the Spring of 2012, which in turn, was up from 23 percent in the Fall of 2011.
The number of tablet-owners was up from 34 percent in the Spring of 2012, which was up from 29 percent in the Fall of 2011.
It looks like Apple will have a loyal teen-based following for the foreseeable future.
