It looks as though Sucker Punch has something big in store for gamers if their hiring guidelines are any indication. Sucker Punch, the production team behind the video game franchise "Infamous" and several other well-known titles, is currently hard at work developing a new game exclusively for the Playstation 4, but unfortunately, little to nothing is known about the company's latest undertaking.
All that's really known about the unnamed game at this point in time is that it will be an open world game that is largely narrative-driven, according to Gaming Bolt. Understandably, that's a lot of gray area and fans want more information, but Sucker Punch has done a great job of keeping the game under wraps, and no leaks have really made their way into the hands of the media.
Sucker Punch has been more actively lately, however, and now they are on the lookout for a new "Senior Character Texture/Look Dev Artist," according to Dual Shockers. The company posted an ad for the opening, and some of the details contained within could provide a little bit of insight into what the game could ultimately become.
Some of the qualifications Sucker Punch is looking for in their new hire include a demo reel showing the candidate's ability to handle visual software such as Photoshop and Substance Painter. They're also looking for an artist who can do great work on in-game lighting and shading. The candidate looking to land the job should also be capable of creating efficient UV layouts, and of course, be a team player.
Some of the details in the listing could also be indicative not just of what the potential new hire could be doing, but also what fans can expect from the game. According to WCCF Tech, Sucker Punch is trying to find someone who has cloth/hair/muscle setup experience while also possessing knowledge of secondary animation rigging and muscle system techniques.
Sucker Punch also wants a candidate who understands basic biomechanics and human anatomy, so that may be indicative of possible character design plans they have for the game.
