'Halo 3: ODST' campaign mode getting an HD remake to be included in 'Halo: The Master Chief Collection'

Fans of the "Halo" franchise can rejoice with the campaign mode of "Halo 3: ODST" set to be remade in HD just in time to become part of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection."

Also set to join the remade campaign mode for "Halo 3: ODST" is an updated version of the "Halo 2" mulitplayer map known as Relic. The map will also be a part of the upcoming collection, according to Gamespot. The announcement regarding the new content was made by 343 Industries.

"We're excited about the progress of the Relic multiplayer map remake and the Campaign for Halo 3: ODST, both of which are on track to release within Halo: The Master Chief Collection next month within our next content update," said 343 Industries.

For players who already purchased "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" before November, they will be able to receive a free DLC code for "Halo 3: ODST," according to Cinema Blend.

It's Microsoft and the game's developer's way of apologizing for all the problems that plagued the title before it was officially released. Apart from the new content currently planned for the game, 343 Industries has also released a new patch for it, according to Gaming Bolt.

The patch is designed to be tougher on quitters by hitting them with losses and also penalizing them by reducing their ranks. The patch will also be penalizing players who team-kill on a regular basis. As always, the patch will also work on improving the game's mechanics as well.

For "Halo: Combat Evolved," the update mostly just helped improve weapon accuracy in the game. Similarly minor tweaks were also made to "Halo 2," but "Halo 3" received a significant upgrade coming in the form of new game types added to Forge mode. Audio and multiplayer issues that were also found in "Halo 3" were also fixed with the new patch.
