Fresh from her appearance in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch will again make an appearance in "Captain America 3: Civil War." She will be playing a crucial role in the greatest conflict in the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Being one of the most exciting mutants in the Marvel Universe, Wanda Maximiff/Scarlet Witch is a valuable mutant and, in the comic books, a lot of groups and organizations have shown interest in her. She's had a long history of being experimented on and being weaponized by a lot of different organizations, both mutant and anti-mutant.
Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron, has confirmed that she will be joining the cast of Captain America 3: Civil War. The said movie will be the start of Olsen's busy schedule with Marvel Studios, as studio execs have confirmed that her Scarlet Witch character will be appearing in several other Marvel movies, including Doctor Strange, Infinity War, and Captain Marvel. Such a busy lady.
Captain America: Civil War pits Ironman and Captain America against each other, in a conflict of differences of ideologies. Where Scarlet Witch will come into the picture is not yet known, but there have been hints about her role having to choose sides. Her choice will have a very big impact on either sides, and could be used as an event that will even out Cap and Tony. Scarlet Witch will definitely have a huge impact on the side she chooses because of her formidable powers of mind and perception manipulation and sorcery/magic.
Aside from Robert Downey, Jr. (Tony Stark/Ironman) and Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America), Elizabeth Olsen is the only other officially confirmed cast member in the movie. Captain America 3: Civil War is set to be released on May 6, 2016. Until then, we'll have to wait and see who else will join the war.
