World of Warcraft adds new character Left Shark: Katy Perry’s Dancer becomes Blizzard battle pet; Special moves detailed

World of Warcraft adds new character Left Shark, which will be another animal companion players could choose to use for pet battles. Some avid WoW gamers might find themselves lost as to who this character is in the first place.

That is not a surprise since the Left Shark has more to do with Katy Perry than World of Warcraft itself. During the 2015 Super Bowl, the pop star had several backup dancers in costumes. One of them was noticeably out of sync with the choreography, although he showed a lot of energy.

Indeed, this was none other than the Left Shark, which managed to climb at a fast pace to fame through its online meme and Twitter account. Since World of Warcraft has its way of incorporating pop culture in some aspects of its gameplay, this new pet would be ideal.

Gamers should not hesitate to use this character though, in the fear of it being off-beat in fighting as it is in dancing. The Left Shark, according to an Ubergizmo article, will be equipped with several abilities such as rain dance, tidal wave, swallow you whole, dazzling dance, tail slap, and water jet.

While these things are known about the World of Warcraft addition, a couple of things still need to be cleared up. The first would be its location, as Wowhead says in a comment, "Who would leave such a cute shark behind? The Iron Horde truly has no soul. The location of this NPC is unknown."

Considering that there is still no official announcement from Blizzard, the adventurous wanderer, for now, could just look through all the possible corners in the World of Warcraft.

Even if World of Warcraft adds new character Left Shark to the roster of pet companions, the release date of the 6.2 patch, which is where it was added, is still unknown. Surely, once it comes into play, more life and enjoyment will come to the game.
