Apple has been busy enough in releasing high end devices like a brand new Retina MacBook and the Apple watch, however, it has been a couple of years since we last heard from Apple regarding its iPod series. There was even no mention of the said device in the Apple Spring Event, and others would even say that the iPod is already considered as an obsolete technology. So will the classic iPod touch ever make its comeback?

There had been rumors lately that the iPod Touch 6th gen will be released this 2015. Why? Apple had made a deal with Beats Music and it is therefore possible that the Apple would team up with Beats Music to produce its 2015 iPod touch.

So what can we expect from the iPod Touch 6th gen? A refreshed version of the 2012 4-inch iPod touch. The 6th gen iPod touch is said to have an up to date processor (a 64 bit A7 or A8 chipset), a new camera, and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

According to the news report by Apple Insider the new 6th gen iPod will be following the size of its predecessor, the 4-inch screen iPod Touch which was released in 2012.

Last year 2014, there had already been many speculations regarding the release of the 6th gen iPod touch, however, the year ended with no sign of the said Apple classic. According to the article written by Phil Moore (via Gospel Herald) of the Stabley Times, Apple had held back in launching the iPod 6th gen to give way to the release of the iPhone 6s. It was mentioned in the article that some feats from the iPhone 6s will make its way to the iPod. Well, that is something to anticipate for.

And with regards to its release date, the iPod Touch 6th gen will be launched before the end of Summer this year with the price that ranges from $250 to $300.
