Jumping into the free-to-play online gaming bandwagon, Blizzard Entertainment has announced a beta test period and an official launch date for their newest venture Heroes of the Storm. This epic new game brings together the heroes of the gaming company's popular games for an adrenaline-pumping team brawler game online.
The game boasts of 30 playable heroes from Blizzard's popular games StarCraft, WarCraft, and Diablo. And that's nitjust the new heroes, it includes some of the most popular heroes of the said games encompassing 20 years of game development. This means old-schools heroes get to see action, too, especially for the older, more mature gamers.
Along with the wide range of heroes to choose from, Heroes of the Storm also allows players to customize their heroes. Physically, you can make your heroes look as awesome as you want them to with dozens of skins and mounts to choose from. Not only will your heroes look the way you want them to, you can, of course, customize their talents, skills and abilities. Look awesome, fight awesome as well. But that's not all, as you improve and level up with your skills, players will also be able to unlock Master Skins, an additional customization to your hero's appearance to show off your level.
Battlegrounds are also exciting as players can choose from any of the seven scenes, all challenging in their own right. Each has secrets that need to be unlocked for better chances of winning. But different battlegrounds mean different terrains, different challenges, and of course different strategies are needed to win. Heroes of the Storm also presents these different battlegrounds with entirely different gaming ambiance from each other.
The game is focused on team play, but without sacrificing the fun part. According to Blizzard Entertainment CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime, the game was created to cater to the both new players and veterans alike.
For those who are excited to try out the new game, Heroes of Storm will be launched officially on June 2, 2015. And if you really can wait that long, you can register in battle.net for the open Beta is on May 19.
