Innovation looks to be a key ingredient for the upcoming Playstation 4 title "Hellblade", with the title promising to reimagine the way motion and facial feature capturing is done for video games.
Ninja Theory, the game's developers, are using what they call "performance capture" to gather more details for the character models they intend to use for the game.
For prospective players who may be curious to see how "performance capture" translates to video games, they can look at the Playstation 3 title "Heavenly Sword" as an example, according to the official Playstation Blog site.
Ninja Theory also developed "Heavenly Sword," and if people liked what they saw in that game, then they promise to improve upon it with their latest offering.
In order to give their fans an even better look at the kind of game "Hellblade" can become, the game's developers also released videos detailing just how they used the "performance capture" technology. The video shows how the technology is being used to catch even the smallest hints of facial expressions and even the most complex of bodily movements, according to Playstation Lifestyle.
Also featured in the video is what Ninja Theory terms as the Vertical Slice section of the game. This is a soon to be finished part of the game, and it contains the technology and the methods they are using to make the game, being combined to form a more cohesive product.
The game's developers have also previously released other videos related to the game's development, with one even offering a look into how the environments inside the game were being created, according to the Digital Spy UK.
As of now, little else is known about the game other than it will feature a Celtic warrior named Senua as she goes on a journey that takes her straight through the very depths of hell.
People will have to stay tuned to Ninja Theory if they want to learn more about the upcoming game.
