Still unconfirmed 'Gears of War' HD remaster reportedly set to feature more visually-advanced multiplayer mode

Even with the HD remaster of "Gears of War" still unconfirmed up to this point, that has not stopped details about it leaking out, including a possibly more visually advanced multiplayer mode being a big part of the package. Word of a remastered version of the game coming out for the Xbox One initially came out last week, and it is supposedly going to be a product of both Microsoft and Black Tusk Studios.

Polygon has reported that the remastered version will feature more stunning visuals to go along with updated cutscenes, but the most interesting part is that all of the news is coming out without any single word indicating that the game itself has been officially confirmed.

Still, being unconfirmed has not stopped any other details regarding the rumored game from coming out, with some of the latest news saying that it will also feature multiplayer mode which will be running at 60fps, according to Gamespot. No installment from the "Gears of War" has ever been capable of running at 60fps. If the rumor proves true, the remastered version of the game would follow in the footsteps of some "Call of Duty" titles and the upcoming "Halo 5: Guardians" as games capable of operating at that frame rate.

The "Gears of War" game reportedly chosen to get the remastered treatment will be the first one from the franchise, according to Kotaku. In addition to the apparently soon-to-be announced HD remaster of the first "Gears of War" game, another rumor making the rounds says that a "Gears of War" collection similar to the "Halo: Master Chief Collection" may also be in the works.

This particular rumor began when Microsoft purchased the "Gears of War" franchise and enlisted the help of Black Tusk Studios to create a new installment for it. As is seemingly the norm for the franchise under Microsoft thus far, this rumor is also unconfirmed.
