Vikings Season 4 is set to hit the air on 2016 and fans have been eagerly awaiting for the upcoming season since the climatic ending of Season 3. Season 4 will see the possibility of Ragnar and Lagertha falling in love once again. Aslaug will turn to darkness as she enjoys power without Ragnar as the latter faces death.
The previous season of "Vikings" had the pagans from Kattegat succeed in attacking Pairs, and Ragnar learning people's feelings about him. The season 3 "The Dead" final episode also made the lead character know the killer of his best friend Althestan (George Blagden), his brother Rollo's feelings about him, and the thoughts of her ex wife Lagertha about their failed marriage.
All of these is said to play a big role in the plot for "Vikings" Season 4. However, fans are reportedly eager to know whether Ragnar and Lagertha would get back together after Lagertha's emotional statements.
Series creator Michael Hirst said that he likes the idea of seeing former couples reconciled. But when asked if the "Vikings" couple would be back again in season 4, Hirst backed off, and said, "They're still very involved. How much more involved they're going to be, I'm not going to say. [Laughs] They'll never not be closely involved."
Aslaug, along with Ragner and Lagertha, will also play an important role in the upcoming "Vikings Season 4." The new season will see Aslaug "reconnect with her roots," and then turn her character to darker. Still, the change is said to be good for Aslaug as she would be able to find purpose and new strength. Further, she will be enjoying the power without Ragnar being around.
"Vikings" screenwriter, Michael Hirst revealed the fate of Ragnar in the upcoming seaons. According to him, "It's very important to note that he's not only sick; he's hovering between life and death. So that impacts hugely on the beginning of season four, which we're working on now. It's a big story point. It's very important that Ragnar is weakened, ill and hovering between life and death when we come back for season four."
"Vikings" is slated to return for season 4 in 2016. Will Ragnar make it through in Season 4? Or will Lagertha forever grieve for him? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
