Surface Pro 4 is dubbed to be Microsoft's best ever as rumours about its superior specs and features surface ahead of the BUILD 2015 conference. The most recent news of the device models a great fanless tablet patterned on the powerful Intel processor, Broadwell.
Based on the rumoured design, the tablet is speculated to remain quiet despite intense workloads due the small holes it has to effectively disperse radiation. These holes are not at all visible on Surface Pro 3 since it utilizes Intel's Haswell processor. To date, only the more efficient Intel Atom series can sustain a fanless design such as Core M on Apple and Dell Venue 11 Pro 7000. Hence it is still uncertain how Microsoft levels the heat a device with a Broadwell processor generates especially with those that house Core i7 for heavy-duty processes. In connection with the fanless model, Surface Pro 4 is expected to be slimmer, thinner and lighter than its predecessors. Moreover, its fanless design points to less power used on running a fan hence making users more productive.
Furthermore, based on speculations, Microsoft maintains Surface Pro 3 design and battery orientation hence there are no huge leaps from Pro 3 users to switch to Pro 4. The Pro 3 desktop docks, Type Cover keyboard case and the type of charger can be used in the Pro 4.
Based on records, the screen resolution, size and aspect ratio of Pro 3 makes the device a killer and it doubles Microsoft Surface Pro sales year-over-year hence the same features are expected to remain in Pro 4. Pro 3 sports a gorgeous 12-inch display at 2160x1440px resolution though many are inclined to believe that Microsoft may introduce some necessary improvements on this aspect.
Another important aspect of Pro 4 is its battery life. Intel boasts that the Broadwell chip decreases power usage up to 30% with additional 1.5 hours battery life.
