It was told that the show is getting a creative reboot, and they are also moving from New York to Texas. Another, we will also get to see new faces as the series returns.

A couple of weeks before the first-season finale, HBO already confirmed Damon Lindelof's supernatural drama 'The Leftovers' Season 2 fate. And just at the end of last year, it was revealed that there will be big changes in store for HBO series. Previous report revealed that the show was getting a creative reboot, and they are relocating from the setting of Mapleton, New York to a new location in the Lone Star state- Texas.

What can viewers expect from the upcoming season? The plot of 'The Leftovers' Season 2 entails the rapid disappearance of 140 million people, with focus on residents from a small town who have to figure out why they were the ones to stay. The HBO series is expected to return in summer.

Aside from reboot and relocation, 'The Leftovers' Season 2 also welcomes some new faces, and one of which is recently reported. 'American Crime' actress Regina King will be joining the HBO drama as a series regular in Season 2.

TVLine reports that King will play Erika Murphy, "a doctor who runs the local urgent care in town." The series is still currently casting the roles of her husband, John, and teenage kids, Evie and Michael. The members of the family will be a few of the many new characters that 'The Leftovers' Season 2 will introduce.
