After its 1st season premiere back in 2013, Netflix's Orange is the New Black from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan instantaneously became a major and pop-culture success. The notwithstanding mid-season break, the series managed to survive and earned more fans than the 2nd season it premiered with, thus resulting to this year's 3rd season. Orange is the New Black seems to come back with a very different taste so far, with some cast reorganization and new players currently being introduced into it this season.
The initial trailer for the 3rd season makes it appealing with Laura Prepon's Alex' reappearance and the strain between Piper (Taylor Schilling) and her this year, including snapshots of madness followers hope to see this time around (with wise advice from Red). It looks like Kohan and the rest of the creative team are not saying anything right now; too little is known about the season except for those in the clips.
The new poster that Netflix has revealed today for the 3rd season online maneuvers into some of its religious satire that has been pervasive since the initial season. Keeping a comical tinge, the poster voluminously tackles things that some characters are experiencing this season, particularly - what thing/s or entity/-ies should they believe in?
Meanwhile, the Orange is the New Black actress Elizabeth Rodriguez has signed in to AMC for the Fear the Walking Dead, the prequel of The Walking Dead series. Is this an indication that she will leave the ONB? Now, that Netflix extended the series for another season, they promoted Lea Delaria as one of the series' regular cast.
Netflix has already renewed ONB for a 4th season before the 3rdseason premiere. Orange has unexpectedly become one of the most critically-acclaimed shows to date, after an experimental series that it started with - worth commending in this respect.
