Apple is set to release a 15-inch MacBook Pro sporting the latest Broadwell-based chips that can give improved performances as well as with the Iris Pro 6200. This is speculated to be launched in WWDC on June 2015 as fluctuating shipments of the current MacBook Pro was seen. On top of that, the refreshed MacBook Pro will also have the latest version of Pixelmater, which was Apple's "App of the year 2011."
Apple's current iMac and 15-inch MacBook Pro both have Intel's 22-nanometer manufacturing processors, and the successor of the current CPU is the Broadwell chip. This is yet to be unveiled as it is set to power devices requiring high performances, such as PCs and laptops. Further, Intel announced that the chip is going to arrive during the middle of 2015. This was said to be the reason as to why Apple is speeding up the release of the updated versions of iMac and Retina MacBook.
This Broadwell-based Core i5-5657C/5675R and Core i7-5775C/5775R has the power to deliver improved performances, and will come out with Iris Pro 6200. As to when the 15-inch MacBook Pro would be released, speculations point to the WWDC 2015.
What made others certain that a new 15-inch MacBook Pro is imminent this June was due to fluctuations seen in both direct sales and reseller routes, implying a big possibility from Apple preparing the way for a new model "set to debut at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June." Besides the processor, the refreshed MacBook Pro is expected to come out with polished SSD performance and Apple's Force Touch trakpad.
On top of these specifications, the MacBook Pro is also going to have an updated Pixelmator version 3.3.2. This will bring a more powerful repair tool, support for the new Photos application, and the Force Touch trackpad.
With the latest version, the app's repair tool used for removing unwanted objects in photos was improved, and will offer a faster, efficient, and cleaner result. Further, the Pixelmator version 3.3.2 will allow owners to use the Force Touch trackpad for pressure sensitive painting, i.e., the app will utilize the pressure information to modify the size of the brush while the user paints for thicker or thinner lines.
According to the AppShopper, "Pixelmator takes full advantage of the latest Mac technologies, giving you speedy, powerful tools that let you touch up and enhance images, draw or paint, apply dazzling effects, or create advanced compositions amazingly simple."
The app received an Apple Award as the "Best of Mac App Store 2011: App of the Year 2011."
