Amy Winehouse Documentary: Unbalanced and misleading according to family as they plan legal actions against filmmakers

Amy Winehouse will be given a tribute film documenting her life, a project that was initially supported by her family. After watching the film's final cut, they felt betrayed by how Amy and her family was portrayed in the film. They are now considering legal actions.

The Winehouse family is considering legal actions against the filmmakers of "Amy" after watching its final cut. "Unbalanced" and "misleading" are how the famous songstress's family is describing the documentary. Their claims include that the film poorly interpreted Winehouse's condition and disregarded the family's efforts to help her. The family added that the film portrayed Mitch Winehouse, Amy's father, as an unsupportive parent who only took part on her daughter's career and cashes in on the addiction charity, Amy Winehouse Foundation dedicated to her. Her boyfriend also oppose the film.

Reg Traviss, Amy Winehouse's boyfriend also airs his protests as the film did not include his interviews about the Grammy award winning singer. He was supported by Mitch adding that to not include Reg in the in film is ridiculous. Reg said that he and Amy had planned to get married back then. They met 2 years prior to the tragedy.

The "Rehab" singer's life and death will be chronicled in the documentary film "Amy". The film will debut in Cannes Film Festival in May and will be in UK theaters in July. Asif Kapada directed the film and featured rare footages and music tracks by Winehouse. Amy's family including her boyfriend Reg Travis gave their support in making the documentary unknowingly how they will be represented in the film.

The bio pic's final product had them withdraw their support and even consider legal actions. Now that the film is ready to be released, it may be difficult to undo its looming harm. Only Amy Winehouse's closest friends and loved ones will be the only ones to tell the difference.
