Halo 5: Guardians brings more updates to gamers out there, being a major FPS from Microsoft. This time, there would be more focus on how it will become a better product compared to previous 343 Industries releases. Since the game is already building the second trilogy, a new angle is being made.
This upcoming version will dwell on the fine line between evil and good. A lot of the materials being released point out to a feud between Agent Jameson Locke and John 117. The former is a Spartan who is tasked to hunt down the latter to have him labelled as a "traitor." Last year's Comic Con in San Diego already verified that Agent Locke will be a playable character for Halo 5: Guardians.
A glimpse of the multiplayer was given last January. At present, 343 Industries is aiming to make the experience run faster and in a more vertical manner. A main difference to note in Halo 5, as opposed to previous versions, is that players can run to their heart's content. The Spartan Armor is equipped with a jet pack, which is what makes the running unlimited.
The studio head of 343 Industries, Josh Holmes, spoke of the Team Beyond forums regarding the Invasion mode. Unfortunately for those who loved this feature, it will no longer be part of Halo 5 as Holmes said, "No Invasion but more to come on larger scale MP. Stay Tuned!"
The Halo franchise development director, Frank O'Connor further encourages how the game will be a lot better, not just compared to Halo 4 and back, but also to The Master Chief Collection, which he deemed as a "black eye". After all, the latter was composed by five separate game studios and was just pieced together by 343 Industries.
With these updates on Halo 5: Guardians, it is very important to keep in mind one thing - the game is compatible only for Xbox One. It launch schedule is on October 27th, with the game selling at $60.
