Hatred Release Date on June 1, Critics Continue Wincing At Game’s Ultra-Violent, Mass Murdering Theme

By

From torching innocent civilians labeled as "Human Shields" with a flamethrower to stabbing a person to death through his eye socket, Hatred seemed to have every violent way of killing people available for use.

Destructive Games, the developer of Hatred, has distilled the gameplay formula of all FPS titles, especially GTA, boiled off its hilarity leaving only its brutal, hardcore murdering residue. The EntertainmentBuddha managed to secure an interview with Przemyslaw Szczepaniak, Business Development Manager at Destructive Games.

The interview revealed the intentions of the game and their stand after Critics showered negative feedbacks on their creation. Szczepanlak said on the question about inspiration for the game,

"Our CEO is a huge fan of the first Postal game, and he always wanted to make something similar but much more serious and creepy, just a misanthropic, sad and evil creation. So he came up with the idea one day, and here we are."

When asked about their beliefs or stand amidst the negative comments thrown at the game's graphic portrayal of violence, the manager said,

"There is no religious or political ideology behind the game if that is what you mean. We simply stand against the policy of gaming market, where you are being forced as a developer to do games you don't really like."

Though Destructive Games cites freedom from Market pressures as one of the reasons for creating Hatred, Critics only see the game as an ultra-violent shoot-em-up with killing people as its sole objective.

Valve had previously banned the game because of its violent content and have removed it from Steam Greenlight. However, the game is now set for release after the decision to censor the Hatred was reversed. Valve founder, Gabe Newell issued an apology to Destructive Games for banning the game out rightly. The content of the email was then posted on Jaroslaw Zielinski, Creative director of Destructive games Facebook page. The email reads,

"Yesterday I heard that we were taking Hatred down from Greenlight. Since I wasn't up to speed, I asked around internally to find out why we had done that. It turns out that it wasn't a good decision, and we'll be putting Hatred back up. My apologies to you and your team. Steam is about creating tools for content creators and customers."

Hatred Release date is set on June 1, 2015 for the PC.
