Though EA may receive a lot of criticism online for releasing a lot of paid DLC for their games, it appears they may be shifting from the norm as they have just recently announced two new downloadable content packages for Dragon Age: Inquisition that will be completely free.
The first of the two downloadable content packages is The Black Emporium. This downloadable content package provides players with an all-new destination players can visit in order to purchase new accessories, weapons, crafting and rare items from Xenon the Antiquarian, according to Gamespot.
Players can also find what's known as The Mirror of Transformation thanks to this new downloadable content package, and it will enable players to alter their characters' facial features. For those who also played Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II, they can also unlock two new thrones for Skyhold thanks to the new package.
EA and the game's developer, Bioware, also announced the second downloadable content package will be named Dragonslayer, according to WCCF Tech. Dragonslayer is expected to introduce new characters to the game. Apart from the new characters, Isabella from Dragon Age 2 will also be making an appearance in the game via the new downloadable content package. Also added to the already diverse collection of characters inside Dragon Age: Inquisition are Skywatcher, an Avvar warrior from the Fallow Mire, and Zither the Virtuoso.
This new downloadable content package will also enable players to create a new item known as the Dragon's Call. This item will give players the chance to engage dragons in combat as they progress through the game. Dragonslayer will also give players access to another new location known as Ferelden Castle, according to Eurogamer.
Both Dragonslayer and The Black Emporium will be completely free and available for the PC, Playstation 3 and 4, and Xbox One and 360. Dragonslayer and The Black Emporium will be released on May 5.
