Pirates of the Caribbean 5, which may or may not hold onto the previously-announced Dead Men Tell No Tales subtitle, has taken one step closer to becoming a reality, now that it has an official release date... again.
The film was once scheduled to hit theaters in July 2015, but for reasons - like, the need for additional development time and budget trimming in response to Disney's financial loss on Lone Ranger - it was instead put back on the shelf, with tentative plans for the film to arrive in Summer 2016 instead.
So why, then, is Johnny Depp's (Captain) Jack Sparrow's next adventure now not due for arrival until Summer 2017? Well, for one, after the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie was delayed, Depp filled up the empty space in his schedule with the gangster biopic Black Mass (which is currently filming), and it looks as though he'll jump right into making Alice in Wonderland 2 for Disney soon after the former project completes production.
Johnny Depp is clearly returning as Captain Jack. The Giver's Brenton Thwaites will play his new shipmate, and Javier Bardem will depict the baddie. In any case, there are still a couple of pieces strange for Dead Men Tell No Tales.
For one thing, is Orlando Bloom truly returning to the establishment? At the point when asked, the Hobbit star said he's enthralling the thought:
"I'm not by any stretch of the imagination beyond any doubt that [I'll be back] just yet, however there are talks. Fundamentally they need to reboot the entire establishment, I think, and do something with me and the association with my child."
Also, we require an Elizabeth Swan. Not The Elizabeth Swan - Keira Knightley is occupied - but instead a main woman inverse Brenton Thwaites' new youthful swashbuckler.
As per the most recent reports, there is now a short rundown of women in dispute for the part which include Endless Love star Gabriella Wilde, Maze Runner's Kaya Scodelario, and The Musketeers' Alexandra Dowling. Lucy Boynton and Jenna Thiam are additionally in the running to play the next leading lady for Pirates of the caribbean 5.
