Celebrities once again caught attention wearing controversial dresses to the Met Gala 2015 on Monday night. Rihanna wore a yellow gown that had a long and wide train while Beyonce, Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez donned dresses that left nothing to one's imagination.
In a report, Rihanna was said to be one of the highlights of the Met Gala 2015 held in New York as she walked in the red carpet in a headdress, a pink corseted dress that was covered with a yellow fur cape and a long train. At least three men assisted the singer as she went up the stairs to the ball. Her Instagram post even captioned, "Present!" as her dress made a huge presence among the attendees. The cape outfit matched the gala's theme for this year which is "China: Through the Looking Glass". The creator of her gown was Chinese designer Guo Pei.
SOMETHING IN COMMON
Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian meanwhile were bold and daring in their sequinned gowns. A source said Beyonce, who came with her husband rapper Jay Z donned a beaded silver see-through gown that only covered her private parts. Kim Kardashian who was also with her husband rapper Kanye West showed off her curvy figure in a white see-through dress with a feathery tail. J.Lo on the other hand was in a red beaded gown that showed the sides of her famous big booty. It was apparent that they all did not wear underwears.
GOING CHINESE
Other celebrities who stole the show were Cher who came to the event for the first time since 1997. Dakota Johnson was also seen sporting a short hair. While many costumes did not relate to China, some were seen in Chinese costumes with red being the color of the day. In red were Reese Witherspoon, Amal Clooney who came with her husband George Clooney, Helen Mirren and Rita Ora. Met Gala is an annual fund raising event for the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute wherein designs will be on exhibit for a few days.
