Lenovo's 13-inch LaVie Z scales up with MacBook; Weight, Core Processor, Ports, Overall Functions gives more value to money

Lenovo LaVie Z is a ground breaking innovation from Lenovo - the company may have up scaled MacBook. In terms of manufacturing one of the most portable piece of computing device, Lenovo surely have stepped up in creating a laptop that is lighter than MacBook and possible better in all other aspects.

Lenovo first introduced LaVie Z in January promising 1.72 pounds which is a quarter pound lighter than the MacBook. Back then the model was 16.9mm thick with a Core i5 processor. It has all the amazing edge over MacBook's weight and Core M processor. However, the actual LaVie Z that is currently available in the market is a little bit off the mark.

Lenovo LaVie Z is now available weighing officially 1.87 pounds. A little off the target but still lighter than MacBook's 2.03 pounds. The added weight may pay off its unannounced improvement of having a Core i7 instead of its earlier version. It has way more ports than its weight competition with an SD card reader, HDMI and 2 USB ports. Lenovo didn't even stop there. The device is convertible to tablet-like function where the monitor is folded over facing the display.

This new device from Lenovo is largely gaining numerous fans that are obviously over the hype of tech devices that drives its prices up through prestigious brands. A recent Lenovo LaVie Z expert review pointed out its undeniably better features than its current competition. For a laptop user who seeks the lighweight with best possible features and doesnt hold back on prices, the LaVie Z 360 model at $1699 is Lenovo's best bet.

There has been quite a few emerging competitors of several market leaders such as the Xiaomi Yi action camera versus GoPro Hero, Samsung S6 vs iPhone and this time, Lenovo LaVie Z contends with MacBook. Perhaps there will be more devices to come up with exciting features this year.
