A quest for the origin of the Engineers is most likely a plot to be considered in the "Prometheus 2" movie. The Engineers is believed to be a follower of something even bigger, offering a new kind of adventure for fans of the movie. Meanwhile, the script for the upcoming movie sequel remains to be under development.
The Engineers played a big role in the first "Prometheus" movie. In the upcoming sequel, it is rumored that a search, for the origin of this beings will most likely happen and a discovery of a bigger and higher race, is bound to surprise fans of the series. "Prometheus 2" will go deeper into space, manned with robotics and a few trusted and brave humans, Shaw and Davis to go to Paradise, the alleged Homeworld of the Engineers.
Ridley Scott was initially rumored to have leaked the script of the "Prometheus 2" movie. He initially had to sit together with "Alien 5" director Neill Blomkamp to make sure that the unified universe of the inter-galactic beings will not mess up with each other. He is also currently busy with the survival adventure movie "The Martian and Blade Runner 2. "The Martian" is due this 2015 fall and the "Blade Runner 2" will most likely start production by then. This gives Scott a time frame between mid- 2016 till the end of 2016 to work on the "Prometheus 2" movie.
Xenomorphs will skip Prometheus sequel as new monsters and aliens are about to be revealed in the upcoming film. The script for the movie remains to be under development and Ridley Scott is quite enjoying the various possibilities for the film.
"Right now, as we speak, it's being written. I've had 15 drafts evolving. I definitely want to do that [Prometheus 2] again because I really enjoyed doing 'Prometheus'," he claimed in earlier reports.
A rumored script is believed to be already available at present for the movie but without formal announcements from Scott and 20th Century, it is safe to conclude that a script is still being developed. Nonetheless, a plot leading to the existence of a greater being, greater than the Engineers in a far located world called Paradise.
