Ryan Murphy's upcoming trial drama "American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson" is finally rounding up its cast as Furious franchise star Jordana Brewster has recently joined the Crime Story cast in a key role along with FX alum Kenneth Choi.

Entertainment Weekly recently reported that Brewster will play Denise Brown, sister of Nicole Brown-Simpson, a role still yet to be cast. This marks the actress' return on TV after her appearance in the reboot of "Dallas" before it was cancelled in 2014.

Meanwhile, "Sons of Anarchy" and "Captain America" star Kenneth Choi will portray the role of the legendary Judge Lance Ito, the man who decided to allow cameras in the courtroom during the highly publicized murder trial against the former American football player who was accused of murdering his wife and her friend Ronald Goldman in 1994.

According to ScreenCrush, The 10-part mini-series is loosely adapted from Jeffrey Toobin's book "The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson" with episodes written by Scott Alexander & Larry Karaszewski. Produced by Murphy, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Brad Falchuk and Dante Di Loretto, so reads the official synopsis for the new series:

"American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson' is a look at the O.J. Simpson trial told from the perspective of the lawyers that explores the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the court, and how a combination of prosecution confidence, defense wiliness, and the LAPD's history with the city's African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt."

Deadline reports that Choi and Brewster will join other cast membersof FX's new time series which includes Connie Britton as Faye Resnick, Courtney B. Vance as Johnny Cochran, John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, David Schwimmer as lawyer Robert Kardashian, Cuba Gooding Jr. as the titular criminal, and Sarah Paulson as prosecuting attorney Marcia Clark. Keeping to the American Horror Story model, subsequent seasons will follow another headline-making real-world crime, though it's unclear if the series would reuse cast members, like its predecessor.

The series will soon begin filming on location in Los Angeles, California, and will premiere sometime in 2016 in FX.
