The "Fight of the Century" left fans disappointed when Floyd Mayweather Jr. finally fought against Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao and Axl Rose of Guns 'N Roses feels like a rematch should be made noting that it should be completely free.
The Mayweather vs Pacquiao match took place at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, May 2, and a lot of people still cannot get over the fight that was dubbed as a snooze fest. An estimated number 16,000 celebrities went to the event and many are asking for a rematch.
However, Rose is the only one who vocally said that he wanted a rematch with no fees to pay or anything that involves money. He first tweeted this statement: "1: Mayweather 49 May/Pac The Free-Match No Injuries•No Holding•No PPV." Rose tweeting "Mayweather 49" means that he wants to see the American boxer reach his 49th win and keep his record of no match lost.
The singer tweeted another saying: "Mayweather Pacquiao 2 All Free•No Fee•TFT TBFPE•The Best Fight Price Ever." The tweets of the singer had hundreds of retweets and it remains to be unknown if Mayweather or Pacquiao already contacted the singer regarding his requests.
Most of the celebrities who went to the match watched via the ringside but no other celebrities have come forward regarding the rematch that other fans are asking of Pacquiao vs Mayweather. However, other tweets pertaining to their dismay of paying pay per view fees and rooting for Pacquiao were taken to Twitter hours after the fight.
Actress and director Elizabeth Banks took to her Twitter account to share this statement: "Floyd Mayweather is an incredible fighter, but he just bored me out of $100. #MayPac." Niall Horan also voiced out his opinion and said: "To be fair to Mayweather, a lot of people don't like him but, he just gave a tactical masterclass tonight, doesn't have a mark on his face."
The rematch remains to be a rumor as Mayweather Jr. reportedly texted an ESPN journalist saying that he will fight Pacquiao after a year since he is suffering from a shoulder injury. Pacquiao and his team did not yet comment on the possibility of a rematch.
