The lovable Peruvian Paddington bear might really have a sequel and it's sooner than you think. Paddington was a movie based on Michael Bond's children's book series, and when it hit the theaters last year, it really hit big. Earning over $220 million, it is one of the top grossing films in 2014.

Paul King, the director of Paddington stated that they were already having talks about Paddington 2. StudioCanal revealed that they were already cooking a concept about a sequel, though producer David Heyman said on his first interviews that he was not thinking yet of the movie's follow up. But here's the latest, Heyman talked openly about the Paddington sequel:

"It's very early days. Let's just say that we're in talks. That's where we are. We're having conversations. Paul has to decide that he wants to do it, and we have to come up with a story that we feel works. If we do that, then we'll be on our way," David Heyman said.

Heyman said that with the first movie of Harry Potter he did not think of a sequel. "If you think about the sequel, than you're getting ahead of the game," he said. David Heyman also stated that sometimes they succeeded with Harry Potter, and sometimes not. "And hopefully, we'll succeed with the second Paddington," he added.

Hugh Bonneville, Nicole Kidman, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters were among the stars in "Paddington" film. Ben Whishaw was the voice of the title lead and the author Michael Bond in a cameo role. Speaking about Bond's appearance, he said: "It was a night-time shoot - I am sitting in a restaurant on my own by the window when Paddington goes past in a black taxi."

Owning the third-largest film library in the world with more than 5,000 international titles, StudioCanal is a European acquisition, production, distribution company with market for sale of international films.
