Making its way out via MTV, Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment have released the first trailer of Breck Eisner's fim "The Last Witch Hunter". The movie starring "Furious" franchise star Vin Diesel as the titular character who aims to prevent a nefarious coven of witches from unleashing a terrifying plague on New York City, is set to premiere on October 23.
Right after the success of his recent box office hit movie "Furious 7", Diesel has now moved on from car racing on the streets of Los Angeles to witch hunting on streets of New York City as seen in the first trailer of his upcoming movie, "The Last Witch Hunter". The trailer features the battle of witches in modern-day New York and the Vin Diesel will portray a supernatural character named Kaulder.
"The Last Witch Hunter" will tell the story of an immortal witch hunter, Kaulder, and a kind-hearted witch, Chloe (Rose Leslie), who will battle a hoard of New York City witch covens. Kaulder and Chlose teams up to stop the destruction of humanity caused by a horrific plague. The latest trailer of the movie reveals Diesel's character suiting up, grabbing a number of weapons and an ominous sword of fire.
Aside from the two, Eisner's film also stars Michael Caine (The Dark Knight) as Father Dolan, Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings) as the 37th Dolan, and Julie Engelbrecht as the Witch Queen, with script penned by Burk Sharpless (Dracula Untold).
Diesel, together with Mark Canton and Bernie Goldmann produced the movie by which production started August last year.
Diesel last appeared as Dominic Toretto in "Furious 7", and will reprise the character for Furious 8 in 2017. Leslie on the other hand is best known for playing Gwen on ITV period drama "Downton Abbey" and "Ygritte" on HBO hit series "Game of Thrones".
