Drake, Kendrick Lamar Illuminati Albums Still Topping the R&B Charts; Artists to Collaborate?

By

At this point in time, Kendrick Lamar and Drake on a collaborative album are but rumors churned out of the rumor mill. The closest thing that they've got to working on the same goal is their respective albums climbing enviably the same Hip Hop and R&B singles chart - with both grabbing a top spot. Not #1 but close.

Added to this, takes on a collaborative album with Illuminati written all over it may just fall by the wayside. As the case maybe, there is a healthy competition going between the two. And for the uninitiated, a lot of bad blood.

As reported on HipHop DX, a pundit's site at the forefront of the hiphop scene, Drake and Kendrick Lamar are enjoying brisk album sales lately along with Yelawolf. At this point in time, Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's Furious 7 hit "See You Again", a timely tribute to Paul Walker. In classic fashion, it has risen to conquer the charts buoyed perhaps by its movie franchise.

For his part, Drake's If You're Reading This It's Too Late spiked up in sales right thanks to the collector's edition, garnering timely boost in sales even in the first week of being available physically. Jumping from #10 to #4 on the charts. Most certainly, a great leap for the Canadian rap superstar who is reportedly obsessed with the number '6' - adding fuel to rumors about his links to the Illuminati underground movement.

Of course, his future album Views From the 6 is getting everybody guessing. And is pushing every conspiracy theorists to be on their toes for the number key significance.

Quite naturally, all sorts of speculations from the absurd to the outright funny has risen out of Drake's '6' obsession. Lately, Bustle gave a full article on how everything is the other way around, that it's not Drake that is focusing on the number '6' but it is the number '6' that's following him around. Creepy but see for yourself!

As for Kendrick Lamar, the American rapper's latched on the #14 position at the chart pushing a cool 14,374 units of his To Pimp a Butterfly. That should make his total album sales top 546,653 late April count.

So, that's about it, folks. Illuminati or not, there's no clean admission from both camps - Kendrick Lamar's and Drake's - of a collab album.
