Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly looking for potential buyers worthy of their home in New Orleans, which they bought for $3.5 million and are selling it for almost double the price. News reports started to surface that the couple are going broke thus their property being sold.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt bought the house in 2005 right after hurricane Katrina hit the United States. They are selling it now for $6.5 million and the A-listers are not going broke but they are looking for a more "off the beaten path" kind of vibe that is why they are selling their mansion. They have been very active in New Orleans since the said Hurricane hit the city and they have no plans of stopping in terms of helping the said community.

According to a representative, although the couple will be selling their mansion, they will remain committed to the city of New Orleans. Adding, "...and will continue to focus on growth in the lower 9th through the Make It Right Foundation." The Make It Right Foundation started back in 2007 and was founded by Pitt. The Foundation helps create new homes and neighborhoods for those who are in need.

The New Orleans mansion of Pitt and Jolie are being shared with their six kids and it is actually historic since the site where it stands is a historic French Quarter back in the 1830s. The design of the home is described to be Venetian and has custom-made marble mantels and fireplaces. It also has a private pool, an elevator and their own gourmet kitchen.

Both Pitt and Jolie have several properties under their name not only in the United States but all over the world. They have a massive estate in Los Angeles, New York City and France. The New Orleans mansion is just one of the few that the married couple purchased since they were together. Pitt and Jolie got married just last August and are not facing any problems especially financially.
