New Assassin's Creed game set to finally receive its official unveiling next week

Even if the newest Assassin's Creed game hasn't exactly been the best-kept secret in the video game industry, it's still exciting to know it will finally receive its official unveiling next week.

Ubisoft, the game's would-be publisher, was the one to formally announce that the unveiling would take place on May 12.

A new promotional image, featuring a set of brass knuckles placed on top of a wooden table was also released ahead of the official reveal scheduled for next week. Engraved into the wooden handle of the brass knuckles are the words "strength through loyalty." Also carved into the wooden table are the words, "Rooks," "God save the queen," and " We forge the chains we wear in life," according to IGN.

The eagle known to fans of the franchise is also seen carved into the table.

Another image showing a pair of hands crossed while clutching weapons was also released.

Ubisoft has intentionally remained mum when it comes to actually sharing any specific details regarding the game, but according to Polygon, the game's website features quite a few references to the name Jacob, leading fans to believe that may be the name of the new game's protagonist.

While Ubisoft has tried its best to prevent any details leaking out about their planned game, news came out last year that the newest installment of the franchise would be known as Assassin's Creed Victory.

The leaks also suggested that the newest game would be set in Victorian-era London, according to Gamespot.

Ubisoft confirmed that their Quebec studios were indeed working hard to make the game, but stopped short of confirming or even addressing any of the rumor concerning their new title.

Fans will only have to wait just a few more days to see if the rumors were true. The newest Assassin's Creed game is reportedly set to be made available for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
