"The Voice Season 8 Live Top 6 Eliminations" performers once again roared the stage on May 4. The crowning of the champion will be two weeks later and every contestant is nervous about who will even be staying to reach that point.
The top six artists performed live in front of coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, and Pharrell Williams for America's votes with Carson Daly hosting.
This week's performance has Sawyer Fredericks and Meghan Linsey owning the night from Teams Pharrell and Team Blake, respectively.
This week the performers had to sing two songs, one of them dedicated to their mothers and the other are rock songs. The stage performances had the Top 6 identified those who can sing and those who can stand on their two feet and put on a real performance.
Sawyer sang Daisy May Erlewine's "Shine On" that put the audience in complete trance and even earned Grade A from TV Line saying that according to Blake, there's something so simple, real and powerful about the way this teenager approaches a song.
Meghan Linsey sang "Amazing Grace" and went a cappella on the opening verse of her hymn and sang the song passionately. She also earned an impressive Grade A for herself.
Meanwhile, India Carney and Kimberly Nichole raced to the bottom two. India had to sing to save her life which ousted Kimberly not cutting it to Twitter Save.
Kimberly's performance "Dirty Diana" made it into the top three scoring 13.6% and top two in the Favorite Contestant Category but in the end it was not just enough and it had to be her. At least she got to say, "I love you Mommy!" at the end of her performance which was truly endearing.
Although India did make it to the Top 5, many speculate that if she does not do something about her fluctuating performances, she will most likely fail to make it into the grand finals. She can do better than what she is showing and the audience concerned is not happy about it.
The Voice Season 8 Live Top 6 Eliminations proved that talent may get you into the NBC's award-winning talent reality TV show but skills and determination are what you need to stay. Who do you think among Sawyer, Meghan, Koryn, Joshua, and India will reign as "The Voice Champion"?
