TowerFall Ascension Dark World Expansion will be slated for release in two different platforms, PS4 and PC tomorrow, May 12 as of this writing. The game developer also announced that they will have their European release after some days after the launching of the game.
The excellent local multiplayer title will be getting an expansion this month with new archers, powerups as well as arenas for the 1-4 player co-op mode of the entire TowerFall Ascension gameplay. New mode is also covered named Catalycism that will be added. This mode will have different shifting layouts to add more longevity of the gameplay.
Matt Thorson, the developer of the game franchise, said that the Dark World expansion was already planned for its release since last year. The plan was that the expansion will be slated together with the other platforms like the PS4, Linux, Mac and Windows PC.
Furthermore, after the game developer confirmed these plans, the expansion was immediately headed to GOG, the Humble Store and Steam for its availability. But what they have made possible so far is the launching of these two game expansion versions, PS4 and PC for the Dark World DLC [expansion].
Thorson discussed some of the details about the expansion. He said that through it, the players can have the chance to play with many stages with the ability to revive the "fallen teammates" through the Dark World portal. In each set, they were will unique boss battle to observe from the TowerFall Ascension gameplay.
More about the gameplay are the exciting upgrades to include. These will be in the form of new weapons such as the Trigger Arrow that acts like a powerup for the projectiles that behaves like "remote-detonated mines." The entire Dark World expansion will have its boss-filled 4-player mode, which is an evolution to the 2-player Quest mode from the previous game installment.
Thorson did not discuss further about the game expansion details for TowerFall Ascension by saying that their avid players should keep their selves updated for more information about the Dark World soon. However, he admitted that he and his developing team did not expect that what they planned before will be totally accepted by all gamers around.
TowerFall Ascension is one of the most anticipated gameplays listed, which will have its new expansion named as Dark World. The said expansion will be made available for PS4 and PC platforms this month specifically tomorrow, May 12, Tuesday. So, TowerFall Ascension fans should keep updated!
