'Keeping up with the Kardashians' reality star Bruce Jenner announced that he 'is in Seventh Heaven' over his Transgender Journey Update, and it looks like he is there to stay. The former Olympian could not help but feel jubilant over sharing his much talked about transition story with the rest of the world.
For years, Bruce Jenner struggled with keeping his secret. Being a celebrity, Bruce would be no stranger to having his personal life out in the open. After three marriages and six children, the reality star finally decided to open up about his transgender secret to his family and friends.
"He had enough of trying to fool himself and others," said a source during an interview.
The source would also tell of Bruce Jenner struggling with the secret that has burdened him for the past 50 years. The 65-year old reality star has feared being shamed by those who wouldn't understand, but it was the acceptance of the transgender community that would make him come to terms with himself.
It was recently announced that Jenner will be starring in his own eight-part docuseries, About Bruce. The series is set to debut on E! this coming July 26, and will focus on Jenner's transition.
GLAAD co-chair Jennifer Boylan said that Bruce Jenner "is in seventh heaven" prepping up for the show and is excited in sharing his story with the rest of the world.
"Imagine what it's like to have a secret your whole life, then to unveil the secret in this very public way. It's scary, but it's also someone who is feeling jubilant." Boylan shared.
Boylan also admitted that the hardest part of creating the docuseries was how to do some digging into some private matters. She also said that "About Bruce" will be both an entertaining and educational show, and that was the balance the show hoped to achieve.
Jenner's family has been divided on the issue since his coming out as a transgender woman. Daughters Kylie and Kendall Jenner would show their support over their father's coming out. His ex-wife of 23 years would even call him her "hero" when he made the announcement.
