iZombie's first season has been going great that is why the network, CW, announced that the series will be renewed for a second season. The show's executive producer, Rob Thomas, took to Twitter to announce this message and to let the fans of the show be informed.
According to a report, the DC Comics/Vertigo screen adaptation has been succeeding when it comes to the ratings. iZombie is reportedly the third highest-rated series of CW and it is beaten by the other series such as "The Flash" and "Arrow.
iZombie is the new American crime, comedy, and drama series and the first season as 13 45-minute episodes that started to air last March 17. The storyline of for the said series is about Olivia Moore, also known as Liv, who became a zombie and was able to get access over brains in order to maintain her mortality.
However, whenever Liv eats a brain, she is able to see their memories and so she uses her ability in order to try and solve their deaths since the brains come from a Coroner's Office. CW has not yet announced when the drama's second season will be aired and did not yet announce any release dates.
The latest episode for the iZombie Season 1 ended showing Lowell and Liv's blossoming relationship and the next episode, which airs on May 12, is expected to focus on that. The latest episode had over 1.9 million viewers and a 0.7 demo rating. The season 1 finale will air on June 9 as there are still five more episodes left for the first season of iZombie.
It is expected that CW will be announcing their 2015-2016 lineup regarding the shows that will still be renewed and new shows that will premiere this year. Also, the timeslot for the second season of iZombie is expected to be announced on May 14, Thursday.
