Lindsay Lohan Set To Complete Community Service in Brooklyn: "Mean Girls" Star Races To Fullfill 115 Remaining Hours by May 28 To Avoid Jail Time

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly set to arrive in New York City to finally fulfill her court-ordered community service hours at Duffield Children's Center in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Lohan will render the continued community service until she fulfills the 125 hours set by the Court due to her reckless driving incident last 2012.

After failing to fulfill her court-ordered community service hours in London, the "Mean Girls" star will be making her return as she will reportedly land in New York on Monday and start her community service on Tuesday.

Lohan's request to move her court-ordered community service to Brooklyn was approved by a Los Angeles Judge last week. On her return, the actress is reportedly set to help preschoolers at the Duffield Children's Center located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.

The 28 year-old star has only completed 9 hours out of the 125 hours community service the court ordered due to her reckless driving incident on 2012. Now she is racing to complete the remaining 125 hours by May 28th, the deadliest deadline the court has provided.

According to the papers sent to a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge, Lohan claimed that she had fulfilled some of her service in January and February through making Facebook posts for the U.K. charity group Community Service Volunteers.

"Unfortunately, a member of staff gave Lindsay a memory stick so she could do this work at home," the log obtained by The News explained.

"The member of staff was not aware that hours could not be done at home," the member who prepared the log filed in court stated.

The rest of the hours Lohan earned were through mailing new business cards in the CVS office and tagging the computers in the IT department.

According to her lawyer, Shawn Holley, the actress failed to fulfill the community service hours in London due to the 90-minute distance between her home and service organization.

With 115 hours left in her community service time, this means that the actress will be working a little more than six-and-a-half hours every day for 17 days. If Lindsay Lohan fails again to put the remaining hours by the extended deadline, let's just hope she's ready to kiss her freedom goodbye.
