The Season 7 finale of "Castle" aired on Monday night at ABC, and viewers did not miss a thing on it. They learned Rick's big secret, and there may be a little of a cliffhanger about Kate Beckett. Has the show been renewed and canceled for season 8?
The "Hollander's Woods," is about a murder of a woman who was chased into the woods. It turns out that the case is the same with Rick's frightening experience as a child.
There will be a new writer for Season 8, both Terri Edda Miller and Andrew W. Marlowe will take step back from their jobs. On the other hand, there may be an even more important change ahead. Nathan Fillion has signed a contract for the show, while Stana Katic didn't.
Now that the series has been extended, the creators are looking at the possible topics for season 8, one possible plot is about Senator Bracken, as the one behind Johanna Beckett's death. If this angle is true, then viewers' speculations that Beckett will be killed, since Katic hasn't signed on to play her role for the new season, but Miller and Marlowe deny the rumor.
The talks with Katic still continues with show's producers, cause she hasn't said anything that she will leave the show, but she has implicated that her decision will be according to whether there's a creative issue about her character's direction. If she will leave, that would make two ABC series to come back during the fall with notable cast changes, as Secret and Lies will undergo big changes soon!
