Half-Life 3 is one of the amazing first-person shooter video games created under the banner of Electronic Arts (EA), one of the game developers of the game, adapted from Half Life: Escape from City 17 last 2009. Currently, there were rumors that it will not likely to release because of some high doubts of its arrival from the fans per se.
Based from the recent reports published online, there was bit confusion but surely high doubts for the sequel of Half-Life game installment after eight years since the prequel, Half-Life 2, was released. It was even labelled as "one of the biggest running jokes on the internet," mentioned.
These jokes were too hyped up that it even reached to the point wherein every player or a tech industry teaser will be lead to the "swiftly manipulated" Half-Life 3 announcement. This will not be blamed from the gaming community since it has passed almost a decade without any clue about the launching of Half-Life 3 launching at all.
Furthermore, Valve, the game developer behind the "joked" Half-Life series, responded to these claims. They said neither of these claims. If they would develop the sequel or leave it as it is until the next decades. There were a lot of their fans were waiting for their answers about this issue, particularly on Half-Life 3 launching date.
However, recently, the game developer announced their latest version of their gaming engine last GDC 2015 in March, where they revealed that they are making this engine for re-development of a game that they didn't mention yet but this would be a big help of reigniting the "Half-Life 3 rumors."
This might be a hint that the Half-Life 3 game sequel is in the works. Based from the succeeding announcements made by Valve, aside from the new game engine to use for the game if they will have another one, is their revelation of using their own virtual reality headset from a partnered Taiwanese company, HTC last MWC 2015.
So far, these are newest updates that Valve has installed for their fans regarding the possibility that Half-Life 3 will be released soon or maybe not. Yet from these affirmations made by the game developer such as the new search engine for the game and the ownership of the virtual reality headset, it might be probable that Half-Life 3 is under development. Gamers know that the virtual reality headset is most compatible for game consoles. Thus, Half-Life 3 might arrive in consoles also.
