Will ‘Sex and the City 3’ Movie Rumors Push Warner Bros. to Reunite Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon for Another Sequel?

By

Sarah Jessica Parker recently fueled speculations that "Sex and the City" will be back for a third movie. While the recent 'SATC' 3 rumor was immediately slammed by Warner Bros., will the fans' response to hearing a reunion push the network to reunite Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) for another sequel?

On May 12, Sarah Jessica Parker shared a photo of herself leaving Bloomingdale in New York City with a bag in one hand. Fans immediately took SJP's photo as a hint that the actress is filming for a scene on "Sex and the City." This photo fueled speculations that SJP will be back on set as Carrie Bradshaw for "Sex and the City 3" movie.

Warner Bros. immediately slammed these movie rumors and told E! News that SJP's post was "not in relation to the 'Sex and the City' property." SJP also ended speculations that her post was not in any way related to her character as Carrie Bradshaw and followed her photo with news that Bloomingdale will soon be carrying her collection.

While this news may disappoint some fans, others took it as good news, as their response to the recent "Sex and the City" movie rumor might push Warner Bros. to go ahead and create a movie sequel to the hit HBO series. "Sex and the City 2" may not have fared so well in the box office, but fans are still hopeful that they would see their favorite characters, Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda back on screen. Time magazine noted that the series had a deep understanding about women and how they define themselves, which explains why fans shared a certain kind of longing for the HBO series.

Some fans also noted that the network did not entirely dismiss the thought that a "Sex and the City 3" movie was in the works. After all, producer Michael Patrick King said in an earlier interview that a third movie "is not out of the question."

"It could come back at some point. All bets are off," King told the outlet.
