Final Fantasy X, together with its kind of sequel, Final Fantasy X-2, was one of the most successful games in terms of sales for the storied franchise, and that's why it comes as little surprise to see that the HD remastered version of the two games are now coming to the Playtstation 4.
For fans of one, or both of the games, this doesn't come as any kind of groundbreaking news, as the HD remastered version of the two titles were already released on both the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita last year. The Playstation 4 version of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD remaster is pretty much the same as the ones released last year, but with some improvements made.
As expected, the Playstation 4 version will feature enhanced sounds and visuals for players, and they can also utilize the cross-save functionality, allowing them to store their progress on any console they choose and simply pick it up from either of the three as well, according to Anime News Network.
Other features added to the earlier HD remasters will also stay intact, such as the 30-minute audio drama introduced in Playstation 3 version. Square Enix also launched a trailer, entitled "Lessons from Spira," to build up more excitement about the game. The trailer features some of the most memorable moments from the games, according to Playstation Lifestyle.
Lastly, a new dynamic theme for the Playstation 4 is also being released to mark the launch of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. The theme, named "To Zanarkand," allows fans to prominently display the iconic opening scene featuring Yuna, Tidus, and her guardians as they gather around the campfire, according to the official Playstation Blog.
Using this theme will also change the system music to the track "To Zanarkand," which of course, is in the game. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster for the Playstation 4 is available for $49.99.
