Devil May Cry 4 - Special Edition will be released on the 23rd of June 2015, in both North American and European Territories, according to Capcom. This is the remastered and enhanced edition of the 2008 action-character classic Devil May Cry 4 made available to the current generation of consoles, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. Also, Devil May Cry 4 - Special Edition will also be available for purchase in the PC platform via Steam.
As seen in the gameplay trailer of Devil May Cry 4 - Special Edition, the remaster will include graphical updates and also gameplay additions. The game will now run at 1080p resolution with the promise of a 60 frames-per-second performance. The original Devil May Cry 4 had two controllable characters, being the series mainstay Dante, and the then newly-introduced protagonist, Nero. The special edition will now include three more playable characters, Dante's brother and series' antagonist, Vergil, and two female characters, Lady and Trish. All of the characters will have alternate looks, costumes, skins and color palette swaps, including their prototype models and looks based appearances in earlier Devil May Cry titles.
Devil May Cry 4 - Special Edition will also include the Legendary Dark Knight Mode. The Legendary Dark Knight Mode was included in the original game, but only for the PC version. This time console owners will have the chance to play this mode if they missed it the first time around. The Legendary Dark Knight Mode gives the enemies vitality comparable to the higher difficulty settings, albeit allowing them to spawn in hordes per encounter. There are also additional enemies, which are not originally part of the roster of that level to appear.
