Along his controversial national anthem performance he'd laid out on the more controversial Pacquiao-Mayweather fight in the past weeks, Jamie Foxx seemed to be inescapable on streaks of very outlandish rumors, one of which is his two-year old romantic linkage with Katie Holmes.
Foxx had remained hushed for a while, but as he spoke out about the topic, the answer was a big no.
The Amazing Spider-man 2 villain didn't deny that he finds the rumors of him with Katy being a couple 'absurd'. Though since the spark of the unofficial Katie-Jamie relationship, after the divorce of Katie with Tom Cruise, Foxx has been certain they were just nothing but friends. Until now that the rumors had resurfaced, Foxx was open on commenting that the story is very far from the truth.
Foxx even laughingly told TMZ in an ambush interview that people have been pursuing the story for three years, and added with, "No, we are just friends."
The tale of the two stars started during the 4th annual Apollo in the Hamptons benefit in 2013, when the two were spotted to be dancing together. However, Foxx stated that he also danced with Ellen DeGeneres and several other celebrities that night, even Colin Powell, whom he joked about to having the same rumors spread aside from the Dawson's Creek star.
The rumor wasn't really that much of a deal for him. "That's just part of our lives," he said.
Though fans couldn't deny that they could make out a perfect, hot couple, it seems that there's never a chance to making it real.
Foxx isn't really upset with the press, and he is just making himself busy with this career. Having been cast as a villain he'd dreamed on as a child, and having been able to move on as a director, it's a manifestation that Foxx might not need a Katie, maybe at least not for now.
