The recent announcement of Marvel's Agent Carter by ABC despite low ratings just shows that fans should not doubt Peggy Carter's incredible skills. The said announcement is made during the network's Upfront presentation last Tuesday and at the same time released glimpse of the much anticipated sequel.
Season 2 of Marvel's Agent Carter sees Peggy Carter, the relentless secret agent for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve) travels to Los Angeles for an enormous mission against a nuclear hazard at the wake of the second World War. Details of how the mission goes is not elaborated yet and what sorts of villains Agent Carter faces while at L.A. At Los Angeles, spoilers indicate that she finds new friends, allies and even a new love interest, especially now that she leaves behind Steve Rogers a.k.a Captain America.
Her visit to Los Angeles is not at all fun adventure at the heart of Los Angeles but the heroine finds sinister lurking behind Hollywood and she feels much obliged to protect Los Angeles against it. Moreover, with Peggy off to take care of issues during the atomic age, many wonder if time leap occurs since the dawn of the atomic research for war use plays between 1950's up to the first world war.
Despite formal announcements from ABC, the only confirmed cast of the show is Hayley Atwell. Thus far, the status on the show of James D'Arcy (Jarvis), Dominic Cooper (Howard Stark), Chad Michael Murray (Agent Jack Thompson), Enver Gjokaj (Agent Daniel Sousa) and Lyndsy Fonseca (Angie Martinelli) remains irresolute. Similar to the first season for the show, Marvel's Agent Carter is expected to cross and bridge that of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Marvel's Agent Carter airs in the middle of the season as S.H.I.E.L.D. goes to a short hiatus. Furthermore, there are no official announcements as to how many episodes comprise season 2.
