Who says Star Wars Battlefront is a drag must have not had his hands on a game console for years. Or worse was trapped and got hibernated in a far-flung cave decades ago. No kidding!
Truth to tell, this third and first person video game is as action-packed as it gets. You would certainly, lose yourself for hours and get your hands sore playing this DICE-game. As many have before. No doubt about that.
But we are not saying this game is perfect. Certainly, there are points of improvement that should make the game more worthwhile - and not just a flash in the pan.
This time around Star Wars fans and fanatics who have been loyal to the utmost and have followed the movie since inception - and the game equivalent - are in for the treat of their lives. The enticing candy for all video gamers: POV.
Yes, Star Wars Battlefront pretty soon will not be confined to a very limited POV (point of view). You will see the action right from where you are seated: the cockpit.
Recently, in the Official Playstation Magazine's latest issue DICE revealed that they're focusing their efforts on the cockpit and external views for the Star Wars Battlefront. No, we're not talking about a vehicle, a jetpack or an AT-AT. We're talking about - hold your breath - every vehicle.
Yes, every vehicle will soon have a cockpit view. So you would be able to take command and see all the action right where you need to see it most.
And we're not done yet. Not only cockpit views but also external views.
"Cockpit and external views are in the works," so says the magazine. And to give some more emphasis, "so you'll get full employment of these lushly outfitted models," notes gamercenteronline.
And for a bit of a good news. If ever you have been wondering about the power of jetpacks. DICE has an answer for you too. "A jetpack will put you within swinging distance of an AT-AT's weak spots," the magazine details.
The game is currently under development, for a variety of devices: Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Now there's more to Star Wars Battlefront than meets the eye.
