Skybound just released "The Walking Dead" Vol. 24 Issue 141 titled, "Opportunity." Rick and Negan share a heated conversation but decided to settle their differences for now. Does this mean a possible alliance? Meanwhile, TWD season 6 will drop on October and might see a Morgan-Michonne romance following the events from the comics.
In "The Walking Dead" Issue 141 Rick comes back from his trip to the coast. When he visits the jail, he was shocked to see that Negan's cell is opened. When Rick reaches for his gun, but Negan told him that he could have easily attacked Rick from behind but chose not to. He even told Rick that he could have placed booby-traps in the safe zone, or kill Rick and Andrea while they are asleep, but he ignored the ideas since he wanted some trust from Rick.
Rick, still dubious about Negan's real motive, says he still doesn't trust him. Negan then taunts Rick that the only reason he is keeping him as prisoner is for people to think he's a good person with mercy. One diehard of the comics pointed out that the scene could spark a very unlikely alliance between the two despite their current situation.
Dwight also returns in the latest issue after quite a long absence. He approaches Rick and asks him to choose another leader for the Survivors. Rick declines since Dwight was the one who led the Survivors at the end of the Battle of Hilltop.
Some TWD fans are also delighted about Gregory's death in the issue. Previously, he attempted to rape Maggie and now, his almost victim is the one who executed him by way of hanging in front of the community.
On more "The Walking Dead" news, AMC's hit series will return in October for its sixth season. According to a report, the series 6 might finally follow the Morgan-Michonne romance in the comics once he gets to the Safe-Zone. Morgan and Rick's bromance will also be tested next season as their morality clashes with each other.
