NCIS is about to come back with season 13 and it looks like fans can expect not just another thrilling but also brain twisting episodes. The show's showrunner Gary Glasberg reveals some spoilers and things to look out for on the upcoming season of the show.
Season 13 according Glasberg, will pick up on the events of the previous season's final episode wherein Luke, the boy he had befriended, shot Gibbs. According to Glasberg the season finale was designed to be that way by the writers and the production stuff to keep the fans "unsettle and unsure" of the where the show is headed to.
When asked why the it was Luke, a boy who shot Gibbs, Glasberg stated that together with the writers he wanted to explore the possibilities when children and women who are usually protected turns out to be bad guys and how Gibbs will face an adversary, the last person he wants to fight with which is a child.
On the season finale of the previous season, after the death, Agent Ned Dorgenet is killed in an explosion at a hotel in Cairo, Egypt. Gibbs together with the NCIS team continues to search for the Calling, a terrorist organization that requires teenagers through the teenager.
Furthermore, Glasberg reveals that upcoming season's premiere will feature both Luke and Agent Mike Franks; the latter died in season eight and will be back for season 13. Also, five stars of the show namely Sean Murray, Pauley Perrette, David McCallum and Rocky Caroll are confirmed to be back for another season.
NCIS follows the story of a fictional team responsible for solving high profile crimes of the United States. The show was voted as America's Favorite television series on 2011 and finished its tenth season as the most-watched television series in the U.S during the 2012-2013 TV season.
CBS renewed NCIS for it thirteenth season last May 11, 2015.
